Sunday's game was one of the most important games of the season for the NY AC Bantam 93 team.  They faced the LI Rebels at 5pm at the Dix Hills Ice Arena.  The LI Rebels are one of the better teams in the LIAHL, but the NY AC Bantam 93 Team showed tthat hey are the team to beat.  After the second period the NY AC Bantam 93 Team was trailing the LI Rebels by a score of 3 to 0.  "We were down a man for the entire first period.  The flow of the game was completely taken away by the referees" stated Head Coach, Bryan Reilly.  After the first period was over, Coach Reilly had a few words of wisdom for the boys and the team responded with 5 unanswered goals in the second and third period.  The NY AC Bantam 93 team won the game 5 to 3.

It was an all around team effort" stated Coach Reilly.

The AC Bantam 93 Team dominated the entire game against the NJ Titans outshooting them 45 to 8.

"All of the conditioning we have been doing in practice is definitely paying off in the long run.  Some of the teams we have faced have been able to skate with us for 2 periods but when the third period comes around our team is in better shape and is well prepared to fight hard until the final whistle.  My boys played very well this weekend.  We have to take our game to the next level over the next couple of months in order to compete with the powerhouse organizations from upstate NY" stated Coach Reilly.

by Bryan Reilly  9/11/07

The AC Bantam 93 Team defeated the Freeport Arrows 7 to 0 on Saturday night and beat the Southern CT Stars 7 to 3 on Sunday morning.

The Freeport Arrows goaltender stood on this head for most of the game and gave the Arrows a chance to compete against the Core, but in the end the Core dominated and obtained their first home victory of the season.

The Southern CT Stars are one of the top AA teams in the state of CT and the AC Bantam 93 Team handled them pretty well.  The score was tied 2 to 2 at one point but the Core stayed out of the penalty box while the Stars took some crucial penalties that changed the course of the game in favor of AC.

"We have really started to develop as a team over the past couple of weeks.  We have done very well in our tournaments and my boys are playing and competing hard in practices and games.  There is nothing more that the coaching staff can ask of these young men.
